| Jeff, the founder of Avalon Wealth Advisory, has over twenty years of experience advising entrepreneurs, physicians and senior executives of public companies. Jeff has built an extensive clientele of high net worth families over the years. His creative financial and investment recommendations have accelerated successful individuals toward their idealized financial goals. As Avalon’s team leader, Jeff will direct the client’s blueprint from paper to success. He will help establish a team of advisors critical for each client’s financial development, then work with clients and those advisors to adapt the blueprint over time. Jeff graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business in 1982. |
| Matthew A. Eckert, CFP® Personal Financial Advisor/Managing Director |
| Matt brings over fifteen years of experience in banking and financial services to Avalon. Matt provides comprehensive financial planning and investment planning advice to corporate senior executives, affluent individuals and families, and closely held business owners. Matt is also responsible for asset allocation and modeling; and ongoing due diligence of the investment managers, mutual funds, and marketable securities recommended by Avalon. Matt joined Avalon in 2000. From 1990 through 1995, Matt was a bank loan officer, first with Indiana Lawrence Bank and then with First National Bank, Kokomo, Indiana. In 1995, he became a registered representative with Waterhouse Securities and in 1998, he moved to Prudential Securities, before returning to Waterhouse Securities in 1999. Matt graduated from St. Joseph’s College in 1990. |

K. McMorrow, CFP® Personal Financial Advisor/Managing Director |
| Julie has over twenty-four years of experience in the financial services industry. She participates in the development of our infrastructure to facilitate operations, technical development and regulatory issues. She also supports new and existing clients with various aspects of their financial plan and is a member of the firm’s investment committee. Julie spent seventeen years with a regional investment banking firm as a Senior Vice President of Marketing and Product Development assisting with the development of strategic business planning, sales and customer service and financial consulting. Julie attended Indiana University and IUPUI. |
| J. P. Wyand, CFP® Personal Financial Advisor |
| J.P. has over seven years of experience providing comprehensive financial planning advice to clients ranging from corporate executives, physicians, closely-held business owners and other high net worth individuals. J.P.'s additional responsibilities include overseeing the design and preparation of the Avalon work product the Financial Blueprint, along with special projects such as cash flow analysis, estate flowcharts, retirement modeling, etc. J.P. works extensively with the asset allocation modeling software, maintaining the systems necessary to remain aware of each individual client's investment allocation. He is also actively involved in our investment due diligence process and sits on our Investment Committee. J.P. is a graduate of Indiana University with a B.S. in Management and Finance. He achieved the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 2005 and the Certified Financial Planner (CFP)® designation in 2007 through postgraduate trainig in investments, insurance, retirement and estate planning. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, J.P. graduated from Cathedral High School and is an active board member and volunteer of various Central Indiana nonprofit organizations. |
| Kelly Kaufman Associate |
| Kelly has over three years of experience in the insurance and financial services field. Kelly 's primary responsibilities include overseeing the design and preparation of the Avalon work product - the Financial Blueprint, along with special projects such as cash flow analysis, estate flowcharts, retirement modeling, etc. She is also actively involved in our investment due diligence process and sits in on our Investment Committee. Kelly received her B.A. in Economics from Sweet Briar College in 2003. |
| Mary Walsh Corporate Secretary |
| Mary handles all matters pertaining to the finances at Avalon. She handles client invoicing, accounts payable and receivable and budgeting. Mary has over twenty-five years of experience as a financial officer with closely held businesses in Indianapolis. Mary also handles monthly bill paying for clients desiring this service. |
| Kelly McCool Associate |
| Kelly is responsible for most administrative activities for the firm. She schedules all client and advisor meetings. All networking and marketing initiatives are also her responsibility. Kelly has many years of experience in the commercial and residential real estate industry. |
| Patti Duffy Part-time Associate |
| Patti handles all of the firm's filing, and clerical and administrative support. |
| Susan Songer Associate |
| Susan brings over 15 years of experience to Avalon in the financial and insurance administration field. Susan is responsible for assisting clients and keeping them informed as she coordinates the daily aspects of their finances. She is responsible for all implementation for the firm, which includes new account set up, wire transfers, charitable gifts, etc. |
| Cathy South Associate |
| Cathy has over twenty years experience in the investment operations arena. She is responsible for operating and maintaining our portfolio management software. She’s also heavily involved in the generation of our quarterly investment performance reports. Cathy interacts with clients and their tax advisors on cost basis, gain/loss reporting, investment income, etc. |
